Description
No 56 in Lower Sevenhampton is a cottage that dates from the 17th century and has some 20th-century features. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and has a stone slate roof with an artificial stone stack. The cottage is 1½ storeys high, with the upper storey lit by two Cotswold dormers featuring 2 and 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements. The left-hand window has a stopped hood, while the right-hand window has a dripmould. There is a 20th-century porch located off-centre to the left, which includes a 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned window with a stopped hood to the right. Additionally, there is a projecting bread oven towards the right-hand end of the building, along with one pointed and one roll-cross saddle. The interior has not been inspected.
