Description
The dovecote, located at the south-west corner of the railed forecourt to the 18th-century part of the Manor House, is probably from the 17th century. It is two storeys high and constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar quoins. The roof is made of stone slabs and features pigeon holes in the gable end facing the house. An external staircase leads to the first floor, which has a very large west-facing window with casements that include glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a small window to the right, set in a moulded stone surround, featuring a single fixed leaded light. An archway with timber supports at the north end provides access to the garden of the 17th-century wing.
