Description

No. 4 White Hill is a late 18th or early 19th century building, likely built as part of a terrace. The front bends around the corner from Silver Street into White Hill. The building is primarily constructed of ashlar, with some rubble, and has a pantiled roof with plain eaves. It is three storeys high and originally had four windows on the upper floor, now with missing glazing bars. The windows on the first floor are arranged in pairs under a long wooden lintel, sharing a continuous sill. The ground floor features two modern windows and a blocked doorway also under a wooden lintel. A four-panel door, accessible by two steps, is located further up the hill. The building is included on the list solely for its group value, along with other buildings in Whitehead’s Lane, numbers 15 to 17 Silver Street, and numbers 1 to 8 White Hill.
