Description
Nos 4 and 5 on Whitehead's Lane are 18th-century buildings that stand two storeys tall with a mansard roof. The exterior is made of ashlar, although No 5 is painted. The roof is covered with pantiles and features two dormers, which have wooden frames and double casements with glazing bars. The buildings have a plain eaves cornice and a plinth. Each property has two windows, grouped in pairs, with sash windows that include glazing bars and shutters on the ground-floor windows. A rainwater head with a rosette and an original thin pipe connects the two properties. Each building has one door, positioned to the left and right, with six panels each, the upper panels being glazed. These buildings are part of a group that includes other listed structures on Whitehead's Lane and nearby Silver Street and White Hill.
