Description

This is a dovecote, now used as a store, located about 15 yards south-east of Rectory Farmhouse. It dates from the late 17th century and has been altered in the mid-20th century. The structure is made of part coursed limestone and part brick, topped with a plain tiled roof and gable-end parapets. It has a rectangular plan and consists of two levels, featuring an alighting ledge at the upper floor level. On the west side, there is a ledged and battened door. The south end includes an inserted two-light leaded casement window on the ground floor, along with a shuttered opening and a loft door at the upper level. The interior has not been inspected.
