Description
The Villa is a house built around 1730, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. It features rendered coursed limestone rubble with ashlar facing at the front. The roof is slate with gable-end parapets and rebuilt ashlar ridge end stacks, while the rear wing has a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic, including dormers, and has a band between the main storeys along with a moulded eaves cornice at the front. It has three bays with pilaster strips at each end. The windows on the main storeys are all cross-casements, and there is a central hipped-roofed dormer with a two-light casement. The entrance is centrally located and features a pediment above a rusticated surround, with the words "THE VILLA" inscribed on corresponding blocks on either side, and a half-glazed door. Additionally, there is a substantial wing to the rear right of the main house.
