Description

61 and 62 Great Barrington Village are a pair of semi-detached cottages built in the late 19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and featuring ashlar stacks. The cottages have a rectangular plan with extensions at right angles at the rear, including a flat-roofed 20th-century extension that is not of special interest.

The buildings are two storeys high with symmetrical facades that each have two windows. These windows are fitted with 2-light wooden casements that include glazing bars and stopped hoods. There is a central plank door also with a stopped hood. The main body of the cottages has an axial stack, while there are gable-end stacks on the rear extension. The interior has not been inspected. The cottages are part of the Barrington Park Estate.
