Description
This building, which forms part of the western boundary of the churchyard, is a house now used as a workshop and store. It dates from the mid 17th century to early 18th century and is constructed of ashlar with a stone slate roof and ashlar stacks. The building has a 'U'-shaped plan and is two storeys high. The front facing the churchyard has six windows, while the right-hand side has seven windows. All the windows are 2-light casements with leaded panes. The roof is hipped where it returns to the right. There are gable-end and axial stacks with moulded cappings and skirtings. Inside, there is cross vaulting at the centre. At the time of the last survey in June 1986, some slates were missing from the roof. The interior was not accessible, and the exterior was inspected only from the churchyard. This range may correspond to the rear of the 16th-century manor house of the Brays, which was damaged by fire in 1736, as illustrated by Kip in R. Atkyns' "The Ancient and Present State of Gloucestershire," published in 1712.
