Description

A pair of semi-detached cottages dating from the mid-19th century, located on Chapel Lane in Cold Aston. The cottages are constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a stone slate roof and 20th-century stone stacks. They have a rectangular plan with extensions running at right angles to the main body at the rear. The symmetrical façade is two-and-a-half storeys high. The upper floor is lit by three half-dormers, the central one containing paired metal single-light casements, while the dormers on either side feature paired stone-mullioned casements. Below, the ground floor has two- and three-light stone-mullioned casements, all with horizontal glazing bars. Plank doors lead to the rear extensions. The interior has not been inspected.
