Description

Pool End, Cow Barn and Pool Orchard are former farm buildings that have been converted into three dwellings. They date back to the 17th century and were converted in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed from coursed, squared, and dressed limestone, topped with a limestone slate roof featuring flat cable coping and roll-saddles. There are 20th-century stone and artificial stone stacks. The left wings of the buildings run parallel to the road and extend back on the right side. One wing is single storey, while the other is two storeys. The windows have irregular placements and include two and three-light, 20th-century, flat-chamfered stone mullioned casements with metal windows that have leaded panes. The property is situated next to a picturesque duck pond and Pool Farmhouse, located at the center of the village. It is listed for its group value only.
