Description

Sycamore House is a house dating from the 16th to 17th century, constructed from coursed, squared, and dressed limestone, topped with a tile roof and flat coping on the right gable end. It features ashlar gable end stacks with moulded caps. The main body of the house, from the 16th to 17th century, has been extended at the rear, with part of this extension rebuilt and further additions made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building has two storeys and a garret.

The first floor is illuminated by three Cotswold dormers, which contain two and three-light flat-chamfered stone mullioned casements with 20th-century leaded panes. There are single lights with four-centred heads, carved spandrels, leaded panes, and flat hoods above. A similar garret window is located in the right gable end. On the ground floor, the windows are two and three-light metal casements with glazing bars and stopped hoods. To the left, there is an unpainted, studded plank door set within a four-centred arched doorway, which features carved spandrels and diamond stops.
