Description
This building is a school, dated 1844, located on the north side of Church Street in Willersey. It is constructed of coursed, squared, and dressed limestone, topped with a limestone slate roof that features flat gable coping. A tall ashlar chimney is positioned on the left side. The gable end facing the road includes a bellcote with blind sunken panels on two sides, a moulded cornice, and a curved and pointed finial. There is a handless stone clock with Roman numerals in relief, flanked by heraldic shields depicting a dragon's head emerging from a crown on each side. The main body of the building has a gable end facing the road and an entrance extension on the left. It features two 2-light mullioned and transomed windows with stopped hoods in the gable end to the road. The entrance extension on the left has a double door and a 2-light flat chamfered stone mullioned casement window. There is a 20th-century extension at the rear left, which is not of special interest.
