Description

This is a house, dating from the 18th century with extensions added in the later 18th century. It is constructed of coursed, squared, and dressed limestone. The roof is grey slate with flat gable end coping. Ashlar stacks, some with moulded tops, are present, along with a stack at the former left gable end which has been repaired with brick. The building has two storeys and originally had four windows. There is one flat-chamfered, three-light stone mullioned casement window with 19th-century metal windows with horizontal glazing bars. One 18th-century two-light wooden casement window with leaded panes is also present, along with two 20th-century windows. Two canted bay windows are on the ground floor; one has a limestone slate roof and the other has a flat, leaded roof. These windows flank a flat-chamfered, four-centred arched doorway, now blocked, with a single-light 20th-century window and a straight joint to the right of the right-hand bay window. A 20th-century unpainted plank door is set under a flat wooden canopy.
