Description

This is a former farmhouse, now a cottage, dating to the 17th century. The gable end facing the road is constructed of ashlar, while the remaining walls are limestone rubble. The roof is covered with limestone slate, featuring flat gable coping and a single ashlar stack with a moulded top. The facade presents a gable end to the road. The cottage is two storeys high, originally featuring a three-light, stone-mullioned casement window with 19th-century metal windows containing horizontal glazing bars. A four-light stone mullioned window was formerly located below the left-hand window, now replaced with a 20th-century part-glazed door which occupies the space of the two leftmost lights. A stopped hood is above all the windows, including the one above the door.
