Description
No. 3A on Tivoli Road is a house that likely served as a former service range to No. 3. It was built around 1834 to 1850 and has undergone some later alterations. The building features stucco over brick, a concealed roof, and an iron verandah.
The exterior is two storeys high with three first-floor windows. The first floor has 1/1 sash windows, with the outer windows being narrower. On the ground floor, there are double French doors with overlights situated between narrow 1/1 sash windows. All windows have plain reveals and sills.
The interior has not been inspected. The ground-floor verandah boasts a glazed roof, with uprights that feature quatrefoil and anthemion panels, as well as an openwork frieze. Historically, houses along Tivoli Road, originally known as Tivoli, are depicted in Merrett's Map of 1834.
