Description
Nos. 3 and 3A-G are a detached house, built around 1819-1825 and later altered, now used as flats. The building was constructed by George Pocock. It is stucco-faced with plain horizontal bands, and has a slated hipped roof with a tall chimney stack. The house has two storeys and a basement. Originally it had three windows, but this has been extended to five with a two-window addition to the right and a further gabled extension featuring a round-arched studio window. A projecting stucco portico with a round-arched entrance provides access. The ground floor windows are architraved sashes, while the first-floor windows are a mix of casements and sashes. The first-floor windows above the portico have Gothic glazing, and those flanking are recessed within shallow segmental arches. The interior of the building was not inspected during listing. Attached to the property is a low stucco wall with cast-iron railings, and stone-capped gate piers.
