Description

The gatepiers and gate to Hayne date from around the mid-19th century and serve as the carriage entrance to the property. The gatepiers are made of dressed stone and are square in section, topped with tall moulded granite pinnacles that feature large ball finials. The gate itself is constructed of timber, with an open lattice design both above and below the middle rail. There is also a simple segmental wrought iron overthrow above the gate.
