Description

NORTHLEW NORTHLEW SX 59 NW 9/234 Elmfield House - GV II

House. Circa 1830-40. Stucco walls. Hipped slate roof. 2 axial brick stacks. Plan: Deep apparently treble depth plan with 2 principal front rooms and a central entrance hall between. The plan at the back is uncertain but appears to be a service rooms deep. 2 rooms with central stairhall. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front of original 12-pane hornless sashes. Round-arched central doorway with rusticated plaster surround and panelled reveals. C19 6-panel door with semi-circular fanlight above. Panelled pilasters at each corner of the house. Interior: not inspected but may contain good quality C19 joinery and plasterwork.
