Description
Northlands is a house dating from the early 19th century, featuring stucco walls and a hipped slate roof. It has a rendered brick axial stack that is offset from the ridge at the rear. The building has a double depth plan with a central entrance hall, two main front rooms, and likely original service rooms located behind. There is a later 19th-century wing set back from the right-hand side, which is probably a service range.
The house is two storeys tall and has a symmetrical three-window front, showcasing early 20th-century hornless 12-pane sash windows with plain raised architraves. The central doorway features an original panelled door with reeded strips on the lower half. There is likely a 20th-century porch hood with an elliptical top, supported by trellised wrought iron on low brick walls on either side. The set-back wing on the right side has two identical windows on the first floor, and a single-storey garage has been added to the front.
