Description
This bank barn, located about 10 meters southwest of Billacombe Farmhouse, is likely to have some walling from the 17th century, with significant rebuilding and extension occurring in the 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with brick dressings and features a slate roof that is hipped at the ends. The barn has two storeys at the left end and a single storey at the right end, built on a sharply sloping site. The front of the barn includes three 19th-century entrances with cambered brick lintels, two ventilation slits, and one opening under a timber lintel for the two-storey section, along with a blocked entrance on the first floor. There are also pigeon holes on the left end. This barn is part of the courtyard associated with the old 17th-century front of Billacombe Farmhouse and is included for its group value.
