Description

Rock Farmhouse is a disused farmhouse, likely built in the early 18th century or earlier, with a 19th-century addition to the northwest. The structure is made of stone rubble, featuring a main range that has a corrugated iron roof, gabled at the left end and half-hipped at the right end, which was formerly thatched. There are stone stacks at both the left gable end of the main range and the left gable end of the 19th-century addition, as well as a stone stack on the ridge. The addition has a lower slate roof, also gabled at the left end, with a stone stack on that end. The farmhouse has a single depth plan with no rear windows, likely designed as a three-room and cross passage layout with an unheated room at the higher end. It is two storeys tall and features an irregular six-window front. There are two entrances on the front of the main range at the left, and most of the windows are early 20th-century casements with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
