Description
Haggaton Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted stone rubble and features rag slates on the first floor. The roof is hipped and covered with rag slates, topped with clay ridge tiles. There is an axial stack with a small red brick chimney located to the right of the center.
The layout consists of a three-room main range. The center and right-hand rooms are heated by an axial stack with back-to-back fireplaces, while the left-hand room is unheated. There is a doorway between the left and center rooms. At the rear of the left end, there is a wing, and a single-storey outshut extends at right angles to the front left.
The exterior has two storeys and features an asymmetrical three-window south front. The windows are small 19th-century two-light casements with glazing bars, and the first floor has small panes. To the left, there is a doorway with a panelled door and a porch that has a gabled canopy. Additionally, there is a single-storey outbuilding projecting on the left.
The rear elevation has not been inspected, but it includes a wing on the right. The interior has also not been inspected.
