Description
No. 6 Cornwall Street is a shop and adjoining house built around the mid-19th century. The building features stucco walls and a gable-ended slate roof. There are brick lateral stacks at the rear of the left-hand side and at the right gable end. The shop is located on the right side of the building, while the house is on the left, likely designed with a double depth plan and with later additions at the rear. The structure has two storeys and an asymmetrical front with two windows. The original 20-pane shop window on the right is flanked by pilasters and has a projecting cornice. To the immediate left of the shop window is a probably original marginal glazed door, also flanked by a pilaster, forming a doorcase with the shop entrance. Next to this door is a contemporary 20-pane sash window, with a 19th-century plank door to its left. On the first floor, there are two similar sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
