Description
No. 13 High Street is a shop and dwelling that features a 19th-century front and a 17th-century core. The building is constructed of stucco and has a hipped slate roof with a rendered lateral stack. It stands three storeys high and has a two-window range, with 6/6 sash windows on the lower floor and 3/6 sash windows above. The early 20th-century shopfront is prominent, featuring a central half-glazed door flanked by canted windows and a moulded hood supported by panelled pilasters. On the right side, the stucco continues, with a wing that includes a 20th-century 6/6 sash window and a 19th-century casement above it, along with a 19th-century fixed light on the ground floor and plank double doors leading to a single-storey wing. At the rear, there is a 17th-century timber lean-to with a 20th-century composite tile roof, which includes a small gable with a jowled post.
