Description

44 and 45 High Street are shops and dwellings dating from the late 18th century. The buildings are constructed of stucco over stone rubble, topped with a slate roof and featuring a brick end stack. They rise three storeys and include a cellar, with a four-window range showcasing 6/6 sash windows in moulded architraves on the first and second floors. The façade is adorned with pilasters and bracketed eaves. The early 20th-century shopfronts have central entrances and a continuous fascia board, with No. 45 also featuring clerestory lights. On the right side, there is a 6/6 sash window in the gable.
