Description
A shop and dwelling, now a hairdresser's and flats, demonstrates a combination of 17th and 19th-century construction. The building has a roughcast front and a Welsh slate roof, with a rubble stack at the rear. It is two storeys high, with an attic and cellar, and features a three-window front. The upper windows are 6/6 sash windows in broad, moulded surrounds. A 20th-century dormer contains three 2-light casements. The right-hand entrance has a six-panel door and a plain overlight. A 19th-century shopfront includes a centrally positioned glazed and panelled door with a barred overlight, flanked by plate-glass windows, all framed by fluted pilasters. A fascia board and simple moulded hood complete the shopfront. At the rear, there is a 17th-century timber-framed wing with a blocked three-light wood mullion window, alongside various other openings and entrances. The interior retains ceiling beams and exposed altered timber framing.
