Description
This is a barn located directly to the south-west of Rumleigh Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It features rubble walls with brick dressings and a gable-ended slate roof. The barn has two storeys, with a shippon on the ground floor and a loft above, which is only partially floored.
The front of the barn is asymmetrical, with stone steps leading to a door located left of centre. There is a narrow door towards the right-hand end, which has small single light openings on either side and above. At the first floor level, there are four rows of pigeon holes, some of which have brick-framed openings, extending across most of the front wall. Additionally, there is an outshut at the right-hand gable end and a 20th-century lower outbuilding attached to the front of the left-hand side.
