Description

BUCKLAND BREWER YEO VALE SS42SW 6/88 Barn and linhay at Hooper's Water Farm, approx 15m W of Nos 1 and 2 Hooper's Water Cottages GV. . II Barn and linhay. Early Cl9. Coursed slatestone rubble; corrugated iron roofs, half-hipped to barn and gabled to linhay. L-plan, with linhay attached to front right of barn. Barn has timber lintel over central double entry: open-fronted outshut with round piers to left; stone cheeks flank rear doorway. Five-bay linhay with round piers: originally open bays have been infilled with mid/late C19 stonework. Interior: 11-bay barn roof and 5-bay linhay roof have A-frame trusses with pegged collars and notched apexes.
