Description
This building consists of a barn and an adjoining linhay, located about 20 metres south of a cottage on the National Trust Estate No 97. It is likely from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is built from local stone in random rubble and cob, topped with a thatched roof that is hipped to the right and half hipped to the left. The layout features a two-bay linhay on the left side, which is attached to a five-bay barn that is divided into two sections. The building is single storey, with a circular pier for the linhay set at an angle to the barn, and weatherboarded infill in the bays. There is a plank door to the barn accessed by a flight of three steps, and a full-height stable-type door on the right side of the barn. The barn has a five-bay collar beam tie roof. This building is listed mainly for its group value with the cottage to the north.
