Description
Numbers 1 and 2 Hooper's Water Cottages are a farmhouse built around 1830. The structure is made of coursed slatestone rubble and features a gabled slate roof, with brick stacks at the right end and on the ridge. It has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a three-window range. To the right of the centre, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door topped by a brick segmental arch. Similar arches are found above 19th-century three-light casements with glazing bars, although there are two 20th-century casements on the ground floor to the left and one on the top right. A 20th-century bay has been added to the left side. The interior has not been inspected. The cottages are included for their group value.
