Description
No 15 Bodmin Street is a building dating from around 1870, originally a dwelling and now used as offices. It features a rendered exterior and a shallow pitch slate roof with a rendered stack on the left side. The layout consists of one room on either side of a central corridor, with a carriageway opening leading to a yard at the rear, and an end bay on the right.
The building is two storeys high and has four bays, with window openings that are irregularly spaced. The segmental headed window openings have a continuous hoodmould and contain sash windows with one vertical glazing bar. There are similar windows with hoodmoulds flanking a segmental headed doorway located in the second bay on the left. This doorway is adorned with shallow pilasters that support brackets, a flat string course, and a rectangular light above the door featuring four glazed panels. The upper lights and the rectangular light have late 19th-century glass painted with birds and fruits, and the original door knob remains intact.
Additionally, there is a segmental headed carriageway entrance in the end bay on the right, which is also linked by a continuous hoodmould and features double doors.
