Pear Tree Cottage including east end of The Old Forge to the west

Formerly one house now 2 cottages. Circa late C17 or early C18 with C20 addition. Rendered cob and rubble walls. Thatch roof gabled to right and hipped to left end. Brick axial stack and one at right gable-end. Plan: originally 3-room plan which has been subdivided so that the left-hand room now forms part of The Old Forge. C20 addition at right-hand end. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window front - 1:2 The Old Forge has a late C20 2-light casement. Pear Tree Cottage has regular front of circa early C20 4-pane sashes. Central C20 glazed porch with door. Interior: exhibits no early features but some may be concealed.
