Description

The Cottage is a cottage dating from around the early 18th century, with a 20th-century addition. It is constructed of rendered cob and rubble walls, and has a thatched roof gabled to the right end and hipped to the left. A brick stack is located at the gable-end. The original plan was a two-room layout, with a heated room situated on the right side. A 20th-century addition was built at the front of the left-hand end, and now serves as the main entrance. The front facade has an asymmetrical appearance, featuring a late 20th-century two-window arrangement of diamond-leaded light casement windows. A single-storey wing, also from the 20th century, projects from the left-hand end and incorporates a 20th-century glazed door on its inner face. The interior was inaccessible when surveyed.
