Description
Burleigh Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 18th century, with a 20th-century addition. It features rendered rubble walls, which may include some cob, and has a hipped thatch roof with a rendered brick axial stack. The cottage has a two-room plan, with the larger room on the right, heated by an axial fireplace, and the entrance located in the left-hand room. The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with three windows, which are late 20th-century small-paned two-light casements. The first-floor windows have eyebrows in the thatch above them. There is a 20th-century thatched porch on the left with a stable-type door, and the 20th-century wing is located behind the left-hand room. The interior was inaccessible at the time of the survey.
