Description
The Annexe and The Cottage is a pair of cottages that were originally one house, built in the early to mid 19th century. The structure features rubble walls and a hipped slate roof, with a rendered brick axial stack. The plan is U-shaped, consisting of a two-room front range with a central entry, a wing extending from the right-hand end, and a rear wing that runs parallel to the front rooms.
The exterior is two storeys high and has an almost symmetrical front with two windows. The first floor has original 16-pane sash windows, while the ground floor features two canted three-light bays with 8:16:8 pane sashes. There is a central 20th-century glazed porch. The garden front to the right includes original sash windows with 12 and 16 panes. The interior was inaccessible during the survey, but it is likely to contain original joinery, including a staircase, panelled doors, and shutters.
