Description

A pair of attached cottages dating from the early 19th century, with a 20th-century extension to the rear. The cottages have a timber frame, with plastering above a tarred brick footing, and are roofed with slate. They have a rectangular plan facing northwest and a central stack of gault brick. The plan is two rooms deep. Each cottage has a single-storey rear extension with a flat roof. The ground floor of each cottage features one original sash window with 12 panes, while the first floor has one original sash window with 3 + 6 panes, incorporating some crown glass. Each return has a half-glazed four-panel door. The roof has a low pitch. The cottages are included on the list for their group value.
