Description

Clover Cottage, Honey Cottage, and Vinecroft are a row of three cottages located on Vine Street in Winkleigh, dating from the early 18th century with some 19th century additions. The cottages feature rendered cob and rubble walls and have gable-ended thatch roofs with a brick stack at each end. Each cottage has a one-room plan, with Clover Cottage and Honey Cottage having 19th and possibly 20th century rear additions, while Vinecroft is smaller than the other two.

The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical arrangement of windows, featuring a total of six mid-20th century three-light casements. Clover Cottage and Honey Cottage, located on the left and in the centre, also have 20th century single light casements on the ground floor. Clover Cottage includes a 20th century rustic timber porch with a plank door, while Honey Cottage has a lean-to open-fronted porch with a 20th century glazed door. Vinecroft, on the right, has a small gabled open-fronted porch with a panelled and glazed door behind. The interiors were inaccessible at the time of the survey.
