Description

The gateway at the eastern end of Northern Abbey Drive leads to Hartland Abbey and dates from the mid to late 19th century. It features gate piers made of wrought iron with an open framework and arched tops, which include decorative devices. Each pier has a central panel that is cross-braced with a boss at the center. The gateway is complemented by a simple contemporary gate.
