Description

St Nectan's Well is a holy well, likely dating from the late medieval period, although some reconstruction may have occurred. It features stone rubble walls and a gabled roof, with stone ashlar on the front wall. The structure has a small rectangular plan, with the entrance located on the east side. The front gable has raised stone coping and a chamfered cornice above a two-centred arch made of dressed stone voussoirs. Inside, there is a slate shelf that extends across the well just below the level of the wall plate.
