Description
Rose Cottage is a house that likely dates from the early to mid 19th century. The walls are probably made of rubble and cob, which are rough-plastered and whitewashed. It has a gabled roof covered with 20th century concrete tiles. There are end stacks, with one on the left made of rendered brick and the other on the right made of brick.
The layout includes a central entrance hall flanked by two rooms. The building is two storeys high and features three windows, which are two-light casements with glazing bars and margin lights. The central door opening has a four-panelled door and is complemented by a latticework porch with a flat roof. The left side of the building is blank facing the roadside, while the right side has a rubble lean-to that is set back slightly, also with a concrete tile roof and a small square window opening on its right side. The interior has not been seen.
