Description

Butler's Cottage is a small house built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with a rough-plastered front and features alternating painted cement quoins. The roof is slate and gable-ended, supported by two brick gable-end stacks. The layout includes a central entrance hall with the main rooms on either side, and a kitchen located in a large outshot at the rear, with a short stair wing adjoining it to the right.

The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with two windows. The first floor features 12-pane original hornless sashes with raised cement painted surrounds. There is a gabled brick porch that has 20th-century three-quarter double glazed doors. To the left, a short projecting rear wing includes a two-centred arched stair window with a two-light casement. The interior has not been inspected.
