Description

The gateway at the entrance to Abbey Lodge is a late 16th-century structure made of limestone. It features an archway with a moulded entablature that is topped by two scrolls. Originally, this gateway was positioned at the edge of the road, which until the late 19th century, ran closer to the front of Abbey Lodge.
