8/122 Gates, gate piers and attached walls

GV II

Gates, gate piers and screen walls. Possibly early C20. Wrought-iron gates, and piers and wall of dressed sandstone and sandstone ashlar. Gate piers, square on plan, approximately 4 metres high, chamfered and stopped beneath cornices. Stepped caps and ball finials. Walls to left and right ramped-up from approximately 1.25 to 1.75 metres, with flat coping. Entrance to Wykeham Abbey.
