Description
The gates, gate piers, and attached walls at this location are possibly from the early 20th century. They feature wrought-iron gates alongside piers and walls made of dressed sandstone and sandstone ashlar. The gate piers are square in shape and stand approximately 4 metres high, with chamfered edges and stops beneath cornices. They are topped with stepped caps and ball finials. The walls on either side of the entrance ramp up from about 1.25 to 1.75 metres and have flat coping. This entrance leads to Wykeham Abbey.
