The gate piers and gates at the south-east entrance to The Abbey date from the 19th century. They feature plain ashlar gate piers that have moulded cornices and urns on top. Between these piers are Victorian gates made of wrought iron, which have leaf-topped shafts, along with octagonal cast-iron posts that are topped with moulded caps.
