Description

Glen Cottage is a small house, likely built in the mid to late 18th century, with a 19th-century addition. The walls are rendered, probably made of stone rubble, and it has a gable-ended thatch roof with two brick stacks at the gable ends. The layout consists of two heated rooms with a central entrance hall, and there is a 19th-century lean-to added along the rear wall.

The exterior features two storeys and a symmetrical front with three windows, which are early 19th-century 16-pane hornless sashes. The central door, also from the 19th century, has four flush panels and is topped by a heavy 20th-century thatch hood supported by rustic timber framing. The interior was inaccessible during the survey.
