Description
75 High Street is a cottage, likely built in the early 19th century and repaired in the early 20th century. It has a rendered and colorwashed exterior with a slate roof on the gable ends and brick stacks at each end. The building has a rectangular plan and is attached at right angles to number 72 at the rear.
The cottage is two storeys high with an asymmetrical front featuring two windows. On the left side, there are 16-pane sash windows from the 19th century with exposed sash boxes, while the right side has two-light 12-pane casements from the same period. The first-floor casement slightly rises above the eaves and has a raking hood. The central door opening contains a 19th-century plank door with two glazed lights at the top. Above the door is a decorative cambered wooden hood supported by brackets, along with a recessed plaster roundel that features an incised starfish motif. The interior has not been inspected.
