Description
Chestnuts is a cottage dating from the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The exterior features cement render with false timber framing, which likely covers original timber framing, and has a plain tile roof with rendered brick stacks. The cottage is a single storey with an attic and has a three-window range. There is a plank door at the center, topped by a gabled hood supported by shaped brackets. To the left, there is a 19th-century three-light wooden casement window, while to the right of the center, there is a three-light 20th-century wooden casement, and a three-light metal casement to the far right. The building also has two gabled dormers and end stacks. To the left, there is a single storey wing that features a plank door with a gabled hood on shaped brackets. The interior has not been inspected.
