Description
Copyhold is a house dating from the 17th century, with a front added in the 18th century and further alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features grey brick with red brick dressings on the ground floor, plain tile hanging on the first floor, and a plain tile roof with brick stacks. It has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-window range. The central entrance consists of a two-panel door, flanked by a two-light casement window on the left with a red brick apron and a three-light casement window on the right, also with a red brick apron. There is a lean-to roof between the ground and first floor. On the first floor, there are two three-light casements.
To the left, there is a one-storey and attic wing featuring a three-light wooden casement on the ground floor and a hipped dormer in the roof. The right wing is also one storey with an attic, containing two two-light casements on the ground floor, a sloping roof light to the left, and a hipped dormer to the right. The central section has a gabled roof with end stacks, while the wings have half-hipped roofs, with a stack at the end of the left wing. The interior has not been inspected.
