Description
No. 24 Dawlish Street is a house located to the north of No. 25 in Teignmouth. It was built in the early 19th century and features a large rear block added in the late 19th century. The exterior is finished in painted stucco, with a roof that combines slate and early 20th century diagonally-hung asbestos tiles. The building has rendered stacks on the rear block and the front party wall adjacent to No. 25. The early 19th century section has a two-unit plan with one forward bay that connects to the rear of No. 25, while the late 19th century block has a double-depth plan.
The house is two stories high with an attic and has a one-window range on the front. Access is via a passage to the left of No. 25, which leads to the late 19th century block. There is a six-panel door at the rear of the left return of No. 25, with a six-over-six pane sash window above it. On the ground floor to the left in the passage, there is a three-over-six pane sash window, and above the passage, there is an eight-over-eight pane sash window facing the street. The interior has not been inspected.
