Description

The front boundary walls to Colston House, dating from the 1830s, are constructed of local stone rubble with traces of limewash. These walls line Colston Road, which runs behind the house. On the right side, the walls feature a service gateway with rounded gate piers. On the left side, the walls curve inward to create a carriage turn at the main entrance of the house, where the gateway is flanked by square section piers topped with pyramidal caps. These walls are included for their group value with the house.
